Phantasm was a steel bodied sit up and beg Pop running a 350 small blocked Chevy engine coupled up to a two speed power glide box which then went down to a BMC Westminster axle .We then started to up the engines horse power that then gave us problems at the back and middle of the car. At one point of the racing we went through about five to six half shafts and a couple of differentials. Something had to be done Hence a new rear end which was a beuik limited slip diff with fully floating shafts converted and shafts made by Len Bennett and also a turbo 400 snub nose box all up rated and fitted with a 3,0000 stool speed converter .Hence no more problems . We then went on to change the cc to 302 engine this gave us bags of rpm and also changed our weight brake ratio and the index from e to c a good advantage in bracket racing.
